AML/KYC Policy

HeapX Limited ("HeapX" or the “Company” or “we”), Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") Policy and Identity Verification Policy (collectively the "AML Policy") is designed to detecting, preventing and mitigating possible risks of HeapX being involved in illegal activity.

In accordance with international and local regulations, HeapX Limited is committed to implement effective procedures and mechanisms to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, drug and human trafficking, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, corruption and bribery and to take action in case of any form of suspicious activity from its Users.

This AML/KYC Policy includes Verification procedures, Compliance Officer, Monitoring Transactions, and Risk Assessment.

HeapX Limited is fully committed to providing the most advanced, secure, stable and user-focused services in digital currencies to their global user community. The Customer Due Diligence (“CDD”) is one of the standards for preventing illegal activity. At HeapX, we have established our own verification procedures within the standards of anti-money laundering and “Know Your Customer” frameworks.

Our identity and address verification requires the User to provide with reliable, accurate, and true data or information (like national ID, international passport, bank statement, utility bills). For this purpose HeapX reserves the right to collect User’s identification information for the AML/KYC Policy purposes.

HeapX will take all the necessary steps to confirm the authenticity of documents and information provided by its Users. And we reserve the right to investigate certain Users who have been determined to be risky or suspicious. Furthermore, we reserve the right to verify User’s identity in an on-going basis, especially when their identification information has been changed or their activity seems to be suspicious. In addition, HeapX Limited reserves the right to request documents from the Users, even after they have passed identity verification in the past.

User’s identification information will be collected, stored, shared and protected strictly in conformity with the HeapX Limited’s Privacy Policy and related regulations. Once the User’s identity has been verified, HeapX Limited is able to remove itself from potential legal liability in a situation where its Services are used to conduct illegal activity.

The compliance officer at HeapX is authorized to ensure the effective implementation and enforcement of the AML/KYC Policy. It is also responsible to supervise all aspects of HeapX Limited’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing policies.

The compliance officer is responsible to updating internal policies and procedures for the completion, review, submission and retention of all reports and records required under the applicable laws and regulations as and when required. It is also responsible for monitoring transactions and investigating any significant deviations from normal activity and updating risk assessment regularly.

The Compliance Officer is entitled to interact with law enforcement, which are involved in prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing and other illegal activity.

The Users are known not only by verifying their identity but, by analyzing their transactional patterns. Therefore, HeapX relies on data analysis as a risk-assessment and suspicion detection tool. HeapX performs a variety of compliance-related tasks, including capturing data, filtering, record-keeping, investigation management, and reporting.

With regard to the AML/KYC Policy, HeapX Limited will monitor all the transactions and reserves the right to- ensure that transactions of suspicious nature are reported to the proper law enforcement through the Compliance Officer; request the User to provide any additional information and documents in case of suspicious transactions; and suspend or terminate User’s Account when HeapX Limited has reasonably suspicion that such User engaged in illegal activity.

Though the above list is not exhaustive and the Compliance Officer will monitor Users’ transactions on a regular basis in order to define whether such transactions are to be reported and treated as suspicious or are to be treated as bona fide.

HeapX Limited, in conformity with the international requirements, has adopted a risk-based approach to combating money laundering and terrorist financing. It is HeapX’s policy to comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding AML and identity verification, and to detect and prevent the use of its Service for money laundering or to facilitate criminal or terrorist activities. While HeapX is committed to protecting its users' privacy, it will not allow people to use its Services to launder money, commit fraud or other financial crimes, finance terrorist activities, or facilitate other illegal conduct.
